SAISD Students of the Month for September
Elementary School
The Pre-K Student of the Month for September is Layne Pitts. Layne is the 4 year old son of Mark and Angie Pitts. Mrs. Neilson says that he is a smart student and a very good listener and he follows directions very well. He knows his letter names and also his numbers, colors, and shapes. He is very polite to his classmates and to his teachers. Layne’s teachers are Mrs. Sylvia Nielson and Mrs. Everteen Dade.
The Kindergarten Student of the Month for September is Isabel Page. Isabel is known to her friends as Izzy. She is a great student who works hard in and outside the classroom, she follows directions, and is a helpful friend to others. She is a great listener and always raises her hand to ask questions. Mrs. Lott feels blessed to have Isabel in her classroom and cannot wait to see the progress that she makes this year. Izzy is the daughter of Tonya Bennefield and Matthew Page.
The 1st grade Student of the Month for September is Miguel Gomez. Miguel is the son of Miguel Gomez and Alma Rocha. His favorite thing about school is books! In his free time he likes to read and play. Miguel is a bright student, he always likes to help others, and he ALWAYS has a smile on his face. Miguel's teacher is Mrs. Anissa Smith, and she chose Miguel for this award because of his awesome attitude, and his willingness to help others.
The 2nd grade Student of the Month for September is Charnesha Watts. Charnesha is the 7 year old daughter of Katrina Watts. Charnesha is a great student who works very hard, she is kind and very helpful to her classmates. Her favorite subject is math and in her spare time she loves to play outside with her cousins. When she grows up she wants to be a teacher. Charnesha is in Ms. Jennifer Smith’s homeroom.
The 3rd grade Student of the Month for September is Alexander Niniz Fabian. Alex is the son of Guillermo Niniz and Maria Fabian. Alex is a wonderful student, he works very hard and is a friend to everyone. His favorite subject is Science. In his spare time he enjoys playing with Leggos and Nintendo, and likes to spend time at church. His favorite color is blue and his favorite thing to eat is noodle soup. When he grows up he wants to be a Space Scientist. Alexander is in Ms. Linda Skadowski’s homeroom.
The 4th grade Student of the Month for September is Emaia Andrews. Emaia is the 9 year old daughter of David and Veronica Garrett. Her favorite subject is Reading, and her favorite sport is basketball. In her free time she enjoys playing on her iPad. She is a caring, responsible student, and her teachers love her. Emaia is in Mrs. Tiffany LoZoya’s homeroom.
The 5th grade Student of the Month for September is MeRyah Roland. MeRyah is the daughter of Travis and DeConda Roland. She is a quiet, smart, well behaved young lady. She is also an awesome student who is always willing to help her friends. Her favorite subject is Math, and in her spare time she enjoys coloring, and going outside. When she grows up she wants to be a Veterinarian. MeRyah is in Mrs. Ashley Burks' homeroom.

High School
The 6th grade Student of the Month for September is Makayla Brooks. Makayla is the daughter of Courtney and Kelvin Brooks. Her favorite subject is math. Makayla plans to go to college and study in the medical field to become a doctor.
The 7th grade Student of the Month for September is Jasmine Moody. Jasmine is the daughter of She'Ketia Tanner and Anthony Moody. Her favorite subject is science. Jasmine plans to go to college and become a lawyer or a nurse.
The 8th grade Student of the Month for September is Kevorian Barnes. Kevorian is the son of Latasha Barnes and Kevon Barnes. His favorite subject is Language Arts. He is involved in athletics and band. He enjoys reading and riding horses in his free time. Kevorian plans to go to college and become a successful computer engineer. He also hopes to play football at the college level.
The 9th grade Student of the Month for September is Karlie Arrington. Karlie is the granddaughter of Leslie Adkins. Her favorite subject is World History. She is involved in Student Council. Karlie plans to go to college and study in the medical field.
The 10th grade Student of the Month for September is Francia Razo. Francia is the daughter of Adan and Karaina Razo. Her favorite subject is Physics. She is involved in cross country, SAHS Band, Student Council, and FCCLA. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family during her free time. Francia plans to go to college and become a pediatric nurse.
The 11th grade Student of the Month for September is Christion Holman. Christion is the son of Kedra Edwards and Christiopher Holman. His favorite subjects are Theater Arts, Athletics and Science. He is involved in athletics and loves to workout, draw and read in his free time. Christion is planning on going to college to major in graphic design or music. He would also like to play football in college and do some acting.
The 12th grade Student of the Month for September is Morgan Ellison. Morgan is the daughter of Angie and Mark Pitts. Her favorite subject is forensic science. She is involved in Interact Club, Student Council, Theater Arts, Ag and is also on the skeet shooting team. Morgan plans to go to college and become a forensic lab technician.
