Ms. Pat McClure - We will dearly miss you!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Patricia McCLure. Ms. Pat, as she was known was our high school librarian for the past four years and a treasured member of our Wolf Nation family.  She was  loved by students and staff alike for her always cheerful demeanor, quick wit and endless curiosity.  In her own words, as librarian, she wrote:

“All of my friends know how much I love, love, love to read, so yes, I am loving this atmosphere. Surrounded by books is awesome! The thought of returning to live back 'Behind the Pine Curtain' never crossed my mind but here I am; loving every minute. I am meeting new friends, reconnecting with friends from my past, and learning new things. My two angels are smiling down on me.”

Ms. Pat's SAISD roots ran deep as she was raised in San Augustine and graduated a Lincoln High Tiger. Her parents, Foster ("F.D.") and Mayme McClure, were also part of the SAISD family as F.D. McClure served as Lincoln Principal and later as San Augustine Junior High Principal while her mother Mayme served as the district nurse.  Ms. Pat is now with her angels, smiling down on all of us, and will be profoundly missed by all of Wolf Nation and the San Augustine community.  Our deepest heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the McClure family in this difficult time.
