January Students of The Month!

 

SAN AUGUSTINE ELEMENTARY:

The Pre-K  Student of the Month for January is Jadynn McClelland.  Jadynn is the daughter of Crystal Titus and DeCarlo McClelland and is a pre-kindergarten student from Mrs. Crouch’s class.  Although Jadynn  just turned five, she enjoys reading and can count to 100.  Her favorite book is A Lot on Top.  She loves to dance and enjoys going to church with her mom, dad, and sister, Khandice.   She also likes to go to the beach with her family.

 

The Kindergarten Student of the Month for January is Liam Jarvis. Liam is the son of Lee and Leighann Jarvis. His teacher is Mrs. Amanda Chambers and she says he exceed kindness.  He is always there to help his friends.  When other students are hurt or sad, he is there to help them feel better.  Liam has some of the best manners I’ve ever seen from a  5 year old.   I hope his kindness shines through for the rest of his life.

 

The 1st grade Student of the Month for January is Shawn Holman. Shawn is the son of Stacy and Tyrone Holman and is in Ms. Cartwright's class. Shawn 's favorite subject in school is Math. He loves to play football, basketball, and baseball.  He loves the outdoors. Hunting and fishing are his favorite hobbies. When Shawn gets home from school, his first priority is to do his homework, after he finishes it, he likes to either go outside to play, or play on the computer.  He hopes to be a NFL player one day. .

The 2nd grade Student of the Month for January is Alex Niniz Fabian.  He is the son of Guillermo Mondragon and Maria Fabian and is in Mrs. Jenny Tanner's class.  This month since our character trait is kindness, Mrs. Tanner decided to let her students vote on the student of the month. Over half of my class chose Alex as the kindest person in our class. When I asked one of the students why he voted on Alex, he said, “because he’s never mean to anyone and is always nice.” That definitely describes Alex!  Alex enjoys playing with his little brother after school. His favorite subject is reading and when he grows up he wants to be a scientist.

The 3rd grade Student of the Month for January is Jarren Jenkins.  Jarren is the son of Kenneth Jenkins and Kim Smith. He is in Ms. Ross's 3rd grade homeroom.  He has 3 brothers, Leland , also in 3rd grade, Cason is in 2nd grade, and Zay is in Pre-K.  He also has a sister, Mariah in 5th grade. Jarren  likes to play football and go out to eat with his family. His favorite part of 3rd grade is Reading.  Jarren is very kind  and is always willing to help his teachers or friends out.

The 4th grade Student of the Month for January is Zy’Quavious Jackson.  Zy'Quavious is the son of Cynthia Jackson and Terry Davis.  Zy comes to school each day presenting a kind disposition.  He is concerned for others, and often goes out of his way to lift the spirits of anyone having a bad day. He is friendly to all of his classmates and includes them in group work or out at recess.  Zy hopes to become a truck driver one day and visit the big city of New York. 

 

The 5th grade Student of the Month for January is Mariah Smith.  Mariah is the daughter of Kenneth Jenkins and Kim Smith.  She is always helpful to others in their time of need.  She loves 5th grade because she says the work is more difficult and she loves the challenge.  She likes for things to challenge her.  After school she loves to read a good book or play with her brothers outside.  She loves to read the Boxcar Children series.  When she grows up she aspires to be a teacher.  If she could go anywhere in the world, she would love to go to New York City.  She enjoys going on picnics with her family and just having fun.

SAN AUGUSTINE MIDDLE SCHOOL:

The 6th grade Student of the Month for January is Jacob Fletcher.  Jacob is the son of Scott and Beth Carmichael.  His favorite subject is science.  He is involved in 4-H and is in the Bass Club.  He enjoys playing sports and fishing in his free time.  Jacob hopes to become a professional fisherman when he finishes high school.

The 7th grade Student of the Month for January is Pedro Bahena.  Pedro is the son of GuadalupeMolina and Pedro Bahena.  His favorite subjects are math and reading.  He is in athletics and enjoys playing football.  Pedro plans to go to college and study to become an architect.

The 8th grade Student of the Month for January is Jeremiah Watts.  Jeremiah is the son of Sabrina Nash and Moe Watts.  His favorite subjects are science and math.  He is involved in Gentlemen's League and plays football and basketball.  Jeremiah plans to go to college to become a sports trainer and hopefully play college basketball.

SAN AUGUSTINE HIGH SCHOOL:

The 9th grade Student of the Month for January is Jose Silva.  Jose is the son of Maria Palacios and Manolo Silva.  His favorite subject is his technology class because he loves computers.  He is involved in band.  Jose plans to go to college and study in the technology field to become a computer engineer or programmer.

The 10th grade Student of the Month for January is Angel Eufracio.  Angel is the son of Beatriz Eufracio.  His favorite subject is chemistry.  Angel is involved in Interact, UIL, DECA and is the president of the Gentlemen's League.  He plans to go to Texas A&M University and major in electrical engineering or programming.

The 11th grade Student of the Month for January is  LaJerrical Jackson-Singleton.  LaJerrical is the daughter of Cynthia Jackson.   Her favorite subject is English.  She is involved in 4-H.  LaJerrical plans to go to college and become a RN.

The 12th grade Student of the Month for January is LaJada Johnson.  LaJada is the daughter of Roy and Cursandra Johnson.  Her favorite subject is forensic science.  She is involved in FFA ,Student Council and cheerleading.  She is active in varsity sports where she played volleyball and is currently playing basketball.  LaJada plans to attend Tyler Junior College to become a physical therapist.
