TEA Solar Eclipse Safety Announcement

On Monday, Aug. 21, our state will experience a partial solar eclipse. Given the infrequency of such an event, it is understandable that many Texas educators may elect to use this day as a learning opportunity for students. While such outside-the-classroom experiences enhance learning for students at all grade levels, I want to encourage our educators to take the proper safety precautions. Free Summer Meals Program for Children 18 and Younger thru August 10th!

Starting Tuesday, May 31st, the High School cafeteria is serving free healthy meals to children 18 and younger from Monday thru Thursday during the summer. Breakfast from 7 to 8 am and lunch from 11 to 1 pm. Meals will not be served on the 4th of July (a Tuesday). Participants enjoy meals and there are no registration or identification requirements. Kids simply show up to receive a healthy meal at no cost.
