SAISD & BISD MASK UP Campaign Begins Today!

Broaddus ISD and San Augustine ISD are joining together as one community to promote the “MASK UP” Campaign (#MaskUpCampaign) throughout the month of September for our students, employees, and community in an effort to keep our schools open. During the next days and weeks, our districts will be implementing activities to promote, not mandate, masks as one means of combating the pandemic. Next week, each school district will have the same Dress Up Days in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID. SAISD ESSER III Funds Feedback Survey

In 2020-21, Congress passed three stimulus bills providing Elementary and Secondary Emergency Education Relief ("ESSER") funding to states. ESSER funds are then distributed to local education agencies (such as SAISD). SAISD is currently in the process of planning how to spend the ESSER lll funds in meaningful, evidence-based ways and asking for stakeholder input as we prepare a plan that addresses the following needs of students and staff. Porter tops 2A State in Steals and Hightower fifth overall in Batting Average!

Baseball is a game of stats and two of our players were among the best in the 2A Baseball this past season as TyCorion Porter was FIRST overall with 50 stolen bases and Michael Hightower was FIFTH overall in the state in average at .579! Principal Small Honored with Texas Rising Star Award
