December Students of the Month

SAISD - December Students of the Month


ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:

The Pre-K Student of the Month for December was Jamilyia Giles.  Jamilyia is the daughter of Jameka Thomas and Anthony Giles. She loves playing with her sister and riding her motorcycle after school.  She plans to be a teacher when she grows up. Jamilyia’s teachers are Mrs. Tessie Dailey and Heather Hurst.

The Kindergarten Student of the Month for December was Mattilyn Page.  Mattilyn is the daughter of Tonya and Jared Hagler. She loves jumping on her trampoline, playing with her toys and eating popsicles after school.  She wants to be a twirler when she grows up. Mattilyn is in Mrs. Lisa Ainsworth’s class.

The 1st grade Student of the Month for December was Luis Aguilar.  Luis is the son of Ana Cucue and Luis Aguilar, Sr. He loves reading books, watching TV and playing video games after school.  He plans to be a construction worker when he grows up. Luis is in Mrs. Melba Pahal’s class.

The 2nd grade Student of the Month for December was Elizabeth Carpenter.  Elizabeth is the daughter of Stephanie and Lester Carpenter. She enjoys reading books, playing on the phone, and smelling flowers after school.  She plans to be a teacher when she grows up. Elizabeth is in Ms. Carol Alford’s class.

The 3rd grade Student of the Month for December was Prestin White.  Prestin is the son of Tara White. He loves to play video games and watch YouTube and Netflix after school.  He plans to be a chef and a game coder when he grows up. Prestin is in Ms. Susan McDaniel’s homeroom.

The 4th grade Student of the Month for December was Cedrianna Jones.  Cedrianna is the daughter of LaKeetra Jones and Cedric Jones. She enjoys playing on her tablet and playing with her dolls after school.  She plans to be a doctor when she grows up. Cedrianna is in Ms. Reva Davis’ homeroom.

The 5th grade Student of the Month for December was JaKayla Adkins.  JaKayla is the daughter of TaSheena Boyer. She enjoys watching YouTube and playing on her phone after school.  She plans to have her own YouTube channel when she grows up. JaKayla is in Mrs. Ashley Burks’ homeroom.

MIDDLE SCHOOL:

The 6th grade Student of the Month for December was Elizabeth Perez.  Elizabeth is the daughter of Hilario Perez. Her favorite subject is science. Her teachers said, “Elizabeth is hardworking, respectful and kind. Her hobbies are listening to K-Pop, drawing, and writing. Her favorite food is enchiladas, her favorite song is Blood, Sweat and Tears, and her favorite movie is a Dog’s Journey.”  Elizabeth plans to attend college after high school to become a doctor or a nurse.

The 7th grade Student of the Month for December was Maggie Miller.  Maggie is the daughter of Jade and Ben Miller. Her favorite subjects are math and science.  Her teachers said, “Maggie is truly the all-around student.  She is one who hunts, fishes, participates in academics and athletics.  She recently won first place in Math at our U.I. L. District Meet.   Even though she is active in so many areas, she continues to maintain an A average.  Maggie makes friends easily because she can relate to so many areas of life.  Who knows what Maggie might become in the future, because she is talented in so many areas. Her future looks bright!” Maggie plans to become a surgeon or a veterinarian after she finishes high school.

 

The 8th grade Student of the Month for December was Patrick Williams.  Patrick is the son of LaQuita and Brian Williams. His favorite subject is math.  His teachers said, “He is always very well prepared and eager to learn. Patrick is a model student in and outside of the classroom. His hobbies are eating, sleeping, playing games, and running. His favorite book is "Lost" and he enjoys all types of music. If Patrick could have any job in the world, he would be a computer programmer.”  Patrick plans to attend Texas A&M and become an animator after he finishes high school.

HIGH SCHOOL:

The 9th grade Student of the Month for December was Dayreiona Isaac.  Dayreiona is the daughter of Marcus Hafford. Her favorite class is BIM1 (Business Information Management). Her teachers said, “Dayreiona is a member of the Wolfpack varsity volleyball and basketball teams. As a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she participates in the praise dance team. As a student, Dayreiona is known for being driven. She is eager to learn and shows great maturity and responsibility. As a leader among her peers, Dayreiona doesn't shy away from challenges. Rather, she faces them head on and seeks guidance as needed to ensure her own success. Outside of school, Dayreiona enjoys listening to music and watching movies or reading about scary stories. After high school, Dayreiona would like to attend Jarvis Christian College. She plans to become either a doctor or a detective because she is a very curious person.”

 

The 10th grade Student of the Month for December was Diego Prado.  Diego is the son of Alejandra and Santiago Prado. His favorite class is Fishing and Wildlife. His teachers said, “Diego is involved in Band and FFA.  He plans to attend Texas A & M University after high school to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, then further his education to become a Veterinarian.”

 

The 11th grade Student of the Month for December was Braiden Ferguson.  Braiden is the son of Tammy and Michael Hightower, Sr. His favorite classes are Ag and art.  His teachers said, “Braiden enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  He also enjoys welding. His plan for the future is to become a pipeline welder.  Braiden is courteous, thoughtful and a joy to teach.”  

 

The 12th grade Student of the Month for December was Kody Page.  Kody is the son of Angel and David Sowell. His teachers said, “Kody is an FFA officer and a member of the senior skills team that recently placed second at their area competition, advancing to state. In addition to his leadership role in the Ag shop, Kody is a member of the Wolfpack varsity football and baseball teams.  As a student, Kody is described as responsible and consistent. He is always on time, prepared for class, and self- motivated.  Kody has always set high standards for himself, pulling A’s and B’s in all of his classes. His kind-hearted and courteous nature leads him to be well respected by both his teachers and his peers. Outside of school, Kody enjoys spending his time hunting and fishing. After high school be plans to become a pipeline welder.”
