February HS/MS Students of the Month!!

 

The 6th grade Student of the Month for February is Brielle Huguley.  Brielle likes to play Minecraft, cook, and draw in her free time. Her favorite color is blue. She has a dog named Charlie who she loves dearly. Her teachers said, “Brielle comes to class every day with a positive attitude, is respectful and kind to her peers and teachers. She also always volunteers to help out whenever it is needed.” After graduating high school Brielle plans to pursue a career as an interior designer. Brielle is the daughter of Larisa and Jarin Huguley. 

The 7th grade Student of the Month for February is Yoana Rojas.  Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite drink is lemonade. She enjoys jogging in her free time and loves math class. After graduating high school, she plans to enlist in the Navy.  Yoana is the daughter of daughter of Ana Gallegas and Afonso Rojas.

The 8th grade Student of the Month for February is Sonny Brown.  His favorites are the color blue, the book "Wonder", tacos, math, playing video games, and track. In the future, he would like to join the military. His teachers said, “Sonny is a dedicated and helpful student. He is always prepared and eager to learn. He is an active participant in every lesson and class discussion. His peers describe him as friendly, hilarious, and reliable.” Sonny is the son of Latoya Brown.

 The 9th Grade Student of the Month for February is Timothy Johnson. His teachers said, “Timothy has shown great improvement in the classroom and taking class seriously. He comes in prepared and ready to work daily. Timothy keeps up and makes sure his work is turned in on time. He stays to himself and is very respectful.”  Timothy loves basketball and hopes to play collegiate basketball, while also getting a degree in business after he graduates high school. Timothy is the son of Charles Jones.

 

The 10th Grade Student of the Month for February is Destinee Rodgers.  Her teachers said, “Destinee is a student who excels in academics and extracurricular activities.  She is known for her outgoing and sunny personality and has a rare gift for bringing all types of people together.”  Destinee’s favorite subject is English. She is involved in Student Council, Interact, Band, Cheer and UIL. After high school, she plans to go to college and become either a NICU nurse or a pediatric nurse. Destinee is the daughter of Kim Polk. 

 

The 11th grade Student of the Month for February is Dulce Salazar-Lopez. Dulce enjoys arts and crafts and challenges herself to do a lot of DIY projects in her spare time. Her favorite classes are Computer Applications and Art. She is involved in Interact, UIL and Art Club. She is also currently working on her Microsoft Certification. Dulce plans on taking business management courses after graduation to become an Interior Designer. Her teachers say that she is a very hard and conscientious worker, thoughtful, considerate toward others and a pleasure to teach! Dulce is the daughter of Elvia and Eduardo Salazar-Lopez.

 

The 12th grade Student of the Month for February is Jasmine Garrett.  Her teachers said, “Jasmine says some of her favorite things include helping others, cooking, photography, music, and braiding/ styling hair. Her dreams are to one day have her own hair salon.”  She is involved in Student Council, Interact, National Honor Society, and athletics. After graduation, she plans on going to Cosmetology school to help further her education about beauty, hair, skin, nails and more.  Jasmine is the daughter of Chudney and Demeko Garrett.
