Red Ribbon Week Celebrated at Elementary School

Theme: A Healthy Me is Drug Free!
Door Decorating Contest: Winners chosen from PreK-2 and 3-5. Doors will be judged on Thursday. Winners will receive a party with Leo the Lion from ADAC.


Tuesday: “Use your head, don’t do drugs!” Wear your favorite hat or create an interesting hairdo. Red Ribbon bracelets and ribbons will be given to each child. Please encourage students to wear them all week!

Wednesday: “Team Up Against Drugs” Wear attire from your favorite sports team. Students will receive bookmarks and sign drug-free commitment links for our Drug Free Chain.

Thursday: “Join the Fight Against Drugs” Wear camouflage to hide from drugs. Students will receive a camouflage drug-free sticker to wear. Morning announcements will give information about ways to stay drug free. RED RIBBON RALLY will take place at 2:30 in the gym.

Friday: “Too Cool to Do Drugs!” Everyone is encouraged to dress in all red and wear your favorite sunglasses to “shade out” drugs. Students will receive a sticker with the 2013 theme and students will be randomly selected to receive rewards if they are wearing red, have sunglasses, and are wearing: bracelet, red ribbon, and the 2013 theme sticker!
