November Students of the Month!

 

SAN AUGUSTINE ISD - NOVEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

 

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:

The Pre-K Student of the Month for November was Alex Polley.  Alex is the son of Alex Polley and LaKesha Bratchett.  His teacher, Mrs. Neilson, selected him because he is very helpful and kind to everyone and he follows the rules of the class. He is a wonderful pre-K student.

The Kindergarten Student of the Month for November was Fatima Palacios-LaBrada. Fatima  is the daughter of  Enrique Palacios and Maria LaBrada.   Her teacher, Mrs. Chambers, says she is a delightful student who always does her best in class, has good attendance and enjoys learning to read.

The First grade Student of the Month for November was TySydney  Grover. TySydney is the daughter of Ronald Sullivan and Louise McCary.  She was recognized by Mrs. Cartwright for the Good Citizen award for 1st grade this month. She is very honest, trustworthy and gives 100% in everything she does.  She is caring of other students and loves to help in any way she can. It’s an honor to have her in our school.

The Second grade Student of the Month for November was Blessed Garrett.  Blessed is the daughter of Demeko and Chudney Garrett. She is in Mrs. Whiteman’s class and her favorite subject is Science.  She likes to ride her bike and play with her sister.  Blessed would like to be a doctor when she grows up.

The Third grade Student of the Month for November was Michael Hilton Jr.,  the son of Michael and Amanda Hilton.  He has two older sisters, Cisley and Khloe, at the middle school. His favorite class is Reading and he is also very good at math!  He likes to hunt and fish and play video games.  He has a dog named Brownie.  Michael Jr. is a very good student, was on A/B honor roll last 9 weeks, and goes out of his way to help his friends and teachers.

The Fourth grade Student of the Month for November was Jayce Williamson.  Jayce is  the son Don and Donna Williamson.   The fourth grade teachers chose Jayce because he  displays citizenship on a daily basis. He often offers his free time to help clean up the cafeteria after lunch has ended. Jayce goes out of his way to help others in need and asks for nothing in return. He also displays citizenship by setting an excellent example for peers concerning the rules. Jayce leads others by showing good behavior in class and maintaining a safe learning environment. 

 

The Fifth grade Student of the Month for November was Kevin Boyer.  Kevin is the son of Kevin Boyer Sr. and TaShena Boyer.  He has been chosen for the Citizenship Award for the Month of November. Kevin is always kind and helpful to his classmates and teachers. He is honest, trustworthy and a great example of how a student should behave in the classroom and in the community. Kevin wants to raise and train horses when he grows up.

MIDDLE SCHOOL:

 

The Sixth grade Student of the Month for November was Laura Moreno.  Laura is the daughter of Gene and Juila Miller.  Her favorite subject is speech.  She is in the 6th grade band.  Laura plans to go to Stephen F. Austin to get a degree so that she can coach basketball.

 

The Seventh grade Student of the Month for November was Dulce Lopez.  Dulce is the daughter of Elvia Salazar and Eduardo Lopez.  Her favorite subjects are Tech Apps, Texas History and PE. She plans to be in the High School band. She enjoys spending time with her family that she loves and cares so much about. Dulce plans to go to college at Stephen F. Austin and become a fashion designer.

 

The Eighth grade Student of the Month for November was Mariah Garrett.  Mariah is the daughter of Demeko and Chudney Garrett.  Her favorite subject is Science.  She is involved in UIL, athletics and also sings in the New Hope Baptist Choir.  Mariah plans to attend Sam Houston State University and hopefully become a real estate agent.  She would also like to be a dancer.

HIGH SCHOOL:

 

The Ninth grade Student of the Month for November was Emily Holmes.  Emily is the daughter of James and Deshanna Holmes.  Her favorite subjects are Biology and Algebra.  She is involved in athletics.  Emily plans to go to culinary school for three years and then get a job as a professional chef.

 

The Tenth grade Student of the Month for November was Shelby Jacobs.  Shelby is the daughter of Scott and Tammie Jacobs.  Her favorite subjects are Chemistry, English II, Band and Ag.  She is involved in DECA, Student Council, Interact Club, FFA and Band. Shelby plans to go to Stephen F. Austin or Louisiana State University and study in the medical field.

 

The Eleventh grade Student of the Month for November was Christian Haynie.  Christian is the son of Craig and Crissy Haynie.  His favorite subject is Band.  He is involved in UIL, Band, Debate, Gentlemen's League and is a also a member of the National Honor Society.  Christian plans to go to Stephen F. Austin and get a Master's in Music.

 

The Twelfth grade Student of the Month for November was Elizabeth Bernal.  Elizabeth is the daughter of Jose and Debra Bernal.  Her favorite subjects are Business and English.  She is involved in Student Council, DECA, Interact Club, UIL, Math Club and is also a member of the National Honor Society.  She is representing the San Augustine Lions Club this year as the Lions Club Sweetheart.  Elizabeth plans to attend either the University of Houston in Clear Lake or the University of Texas at Austin to obtain a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies for grades K-6.
