hi my name is Michael and I are 3rd grade Saint Augustine Elementary School hi my name is London I'm a 4th grader hi my name is why I'm in fifth grade in Saint Augustine Elementary School and we have some questions for superintendent dr. Lipman about the bond election hi my name is Michael and third grade of Saint Augustine Elementary School in my question is are we getting a new High School that is a great question and if we do we also be able to use eventually when you get there but with the recent news of school violence and School Safety and Security Safety and Security is our top priority and as a district we had to ask the questions what do we do and how can we make sure children and adults are safe and secure on our campuses so currently the district is going out for 32 million dollar bond to address of the safety security issues and to improve the facilities and make them safer and more secure kids and for our adult so if voters decide when you new facility and and Afraid sites and security upgrades for our kids and our environment then yes you're going to get a new school hi my name is London and I'm a 4th grader at the Saint Augustine Elementary School and my question is how do we decide what we need in this pond that is a very good question and we have to think about that so with such a security at the Forefront of our planning the school board and our faculty and staff determined that we need to evaluate our facilities and it came became apparent quickly that our high school was our building that was in most addressing and it was our problem and needed to be looked at closely we did find other issues at the elementary school but the high school had far more issues than the elementary school so if our community is support seize this these issues will be addressed great hi my name is Juan and I'm in the fifth grade at Saint Augustine Elementary School what is my elementary campus getting in the bond that is another bright quick question the goal is to make the elementary campus safer and more secure and that means that Safety and Security improvements and upgrades and measures are going to be done there inside and side of the campuses for example better fencing and protection from the highway safer doors with locks a for Windows safer drop off and picks up for our students and more protection really overall so the you also get upgrades and improvements that will that will help the appearance of the campus on the outside as well thank you all so much these were great questions I have three other questions that have been posed to me and I'd like to answer those first of all one question was how do I register to vote in what is the deadline and I thought it was a really great question so if you need to register to vote you can go online to do that and the deadline is actually Thursday April 6th which is coming up really quickly and you can go to our website at www.sec.gov us and in our frequently asked questions we will have that information as far as what link to go to to register the other question that was asked of me another great question early voting is going to begin on Monday April 24th through Friday April 28th and again on Monday May 1st to Tuesday May 2nd the early but he's a little bit different because early voting going to be from 8 a.m. in the morning to 5 p.m. in the in the afternoon and there's only one place to go in early voting headed to San Augustine County elections office at 225 North Harrison so the last question I was asked what is election day Nash is the best we should have all because that's the most fun elections this year it's going to be on a Saturday May 6th and the poles are going to open at 7 and close at 7 in the evening we're going to have to vote in the precinct that they're registered so so on our website in our frequently asked questions are the list of our precincts and where you will be able to do for example there are only two locations this year we're voting will take place on that Saturday when is the Saint Augustine ISD competition GM in the lobby and the other is a Saint Augustine Career Education Center on the East End of Lincoln School so please everyone questions or concerns please use our new email address which is Bond at saisd.us for any questions and concerns and will get back to you as quick as we can thank you all so much this was awesome and I loved it
