SAISD Police Department

OUR MISSION:

The mission of the San Augustine ISD Police Department is to maintain a safe environment in which staff can inspire, teachers can teach, and students can realize their hopes and dreams.  We will accomplish this by staying vigilant, proactive, approachable and compassionate.

OUR DEPARTMENT:

The San Augustine ISD Police Department (SAISD PD) is a fully authorized agency which was formed by a resolution passed by the Board of Trustees in May of 2020. It received its authority from the Texas Education Code.  All Officers are commissioned by the State of Texas with all legal power and authority granted them under the laws of the State of Texas. 

The Department has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which allows it to work closely with the San Augustine Police Department and the San Augustine Sheriff's Office on cases occurring on overlapping jurisdictions. SAISD PD is currently comprised of a Police Chief, Jeff McClenny and Officer Norman Terry.  Police Headquarters is located at 702 N. Clark St
